Niacinamide has been used for over 40 years as an adjunctive treatment for the joint pain associated with both rheumatoid and osteoarthritis. It has also been found to be effective for vitamin B-3 deficiency (pellagra and pellagra rash), acne, diabetes, and oral cancer. Studies have shown that it cuts the rate of new squamous-cell and basal-cell skin cancers by 23%. The product does not cause flushing.
